Dubstep With Bars?

Post by dj seizure » Wed May 27, 2009 7:02 pm

Basically am working on an album and I'm trying to fuse hiphop/Grime heads all over gritty dubstep beats?

A no go or a yeah yeah?

Allow the pricks that are gonna give you a hard time. Make the tunes, if they're good, they're good. If they're not...try harder.

Go for it.

I'm starting to look at dubstep as the way Hiphop used to be, where there was a nice tidy beat and it was about the vocal, now it is about the catchyness.

So if i made a deep dubstep track and had a vocalist that was doing something with meaning, then what would be the harm?

And isn't that DID guy contactable through the dubstepforum?

why are you asking for permission/opinions?

surely just do what your feeling.

pinchs album underwater dancehall is the best dubstep albums i have heard full stop . To put another CD in with the same album but with tuff tuff vocals in aswell......well that was pretty fucking sick if you ask me.

your album has to stand alone as just beats if your sticking to what your saying. "I'm trying to fuse hiphop/Grime heads all over gritty dubstep beats?"
beats better be pretty fucking gritty////ORIGINAL.. any one can jump on a filthy beat...
what it sounds like to me as that your going to be making a compromise somewhere down the line. try not to look forward to hearing it.
Good luck[/quote]

Yeah I'll be posting up the track in the dubs section in a few weeks so I look forward to peoples response.I can't help but view dubstep from a hiphop influence but hopefuly I'll put together something that's quite tidy...
