japanese children play a `game` where they sneak up from behind and jab their fingers in your ass...this can be potentially avoided by wearing baggy trousers.
funny, i play that game with japanese children.

i'd love to go to japan, it looks mental. the ultimate contrast of tradition and innovation.

why don't we pool our cash and hire a jumbo

Yes. And Pocari Sweat is a real and very popular energy drink (all about the Aquarius for me though).

Can Anyone confirm this is the dubstep DJ Quiet storm and not the Hip hop DJ Quietstorm (of living legends fame) who, incidentally lives in Tokyo and plays out quite a bit?

I have a feeling it could be the latter.....

Optimystikally crossing fingers for the former.

Btw hatsudai, was wondering about next thursday, what`s the dubstep:grime ratio like?

WOOHOO!
Looking forward to it all the more!

Oh yeah, do mans play vinyl or cd sets?
I got tunes on cd given to me by some [established] beatmakers (ie. not me or some unknown friend of mine).
Do u reckon anyone would wanna play them out?

DJ'S play abit of both, I dunno about giving them CDR's of someones beats, cos the beatmakers gave them to you not to be freely handed around no? prolly should ask whoever made the tunes if it's ok first.

No worries on that one, they gave them to me to be handed out. They wanna get their stuff played internationally, though obviously i would say to whoever received the tunes like "hold it down. don`t be passing this stuff on to your mate`s girlfriend`s grandad" (am working on translating that to japanese as we speak).

awww this thread makes my heart go funny!! Been dreamin of moving to Japan for years now... hopefully it'll materialise within the next few years!!! How possible is it to find work in Tokyo when u dont speak any Japanese (but speak fluent English of course)? I been hearin its even more expensive than London... :( Regardless, I'll dream on and hope I'll be living there sooner or later! I guess London was like that too, just a dream first, til I actually moved there......

Good to see Goth-trad and Madrave man dem makin moves all the way there  hopef the scene will be huge by the time I get there!!

Workwise you`re best bet is to get into teching english (you`ll most likely need to have/be getting a degree).
Price wise it`s muuuuuch cheaper than London.
My rent = 235 quid a month (20mins from centre).
Decent sized meal eating out = 3-4 quid.
20 box of cigarettes = 2 quid (methinks, don`t smoke so not 100% on that one).
Drinks in club = 2-3 pounds 50 (you`ll never have to pay a fiver for a JD + coke a la London).
The only thing that`s lacking in value is the draft beer, it costs about the same as a London pint but they veeery rarely have actual pint glasses, usually around 3/4 size, with about a fifth of that being head (apparently keeps the flavour in...give me more liquid anyday)

Hatsudai, Pump Up the Jam by Technotronic! You should be punished for that mistake, send me flight ticket immediately.

Now seriously, on that list of things to do before I die, going to Japan is in the Top 5. Top 1 must be saving enough to do it.
