@Higgz-Bozon - The Bad man pull up track is a monster - drop that at the right time and providing no one gets shot everyone will be largeing it to this sound!

Big ups to all the producers lurking in the thread some of the quality here makes me feel small and scared!

Anyone fancies giving me some pointers -

First things first, big ups for really taking the time and give feedback to others. That alone made me check out your tunes. I gave some feedback there. if you ever have any questions, holla

Percussion in this is sick.... that snare is dope, how did you make it/what is it? Bassline is propper bouncy aswell. Good job.

Some good ideas in this one, the melody is sik but the bass is lacking lower end from what I can tell. Drums have nice rythem but I would personally give them some more swing.

As for what I would like....

I am/was a midrange cack producer with some success with that sound, but i've moved on to some more minimal/garage influenced styles. I'd like some feedback on the whole sound im pushing now, aswell as individual tunes. If anyones got some minutes to spare that would be dope!

All tunes are on myspace, unfortunatly...

Legend4ry-Fuck It

Post by the snare bear » Thu Jun 04, 2009 4:24 pm

Hey dudes and dudettes,

Love that noise you got goin at 1:50 in on Fuck It Mr. Legend4ry, it's a head trip. The bass is bumpin too, I wouldve loved to hear a sickening wobble during the last minute or so in addition to the smooth drums and engulfing bass, but overall, really enjoyed it.
One mroe thing: Maybe a sample or two? Movies, youtube, thrown in there somewhere? Possibly scratched? Always love a good sample....

This is my first post on dubstepforum, so hewhoa hans brix, and please check out my dubsteppual version of mary had a little lamb....it's kinda like the Terminator crossed with Silence of the lambs and the nursery rhyme. i guess.

Just looking for some feedback, be as harsh as required. Thanks!

The SnareBear:
I liked your tune much more then I initially anticipated, I do have a few criticism's though. I found all the panning & stereo imaging kind of annoying, like the initial accenting wobble being on the left felt strange, and then during the larger drop the tremalo felt weird. The guitar doesn't really fit the vibe of the song to me, and the mixdown needs work. Other then that I find the song interesting, and pretty creative, I don't know that I'd play this one, but damn you get an A+ on the idea.

tunesupersound:
Your tune needs a mixdown something terrible. I liked the angry techno vibes of this one, but I don't think the samples suit the song. You could also do with a bit more variation I think.

Rinseone:
Your tune could also use a mix down as it's pretty muddy. I like the sounds and aggression, I also like the drops. I'd like to listen again after a better mixing job is done.

Overall to each of you I like the ideas, creativity, and the fact that all of you are open to receive feedback. I hope that you take my input contructively & not negatively at all.

OK, here's mine. I haven't posted new tunes up in months. I have been focusing on learning my synth's more, and trying to get a better grip on production in general. I just started both of these today & have spent the last 10 hours or so on them. Any and all feedback good or bad is appreciated. I gave them both a fast mix down on my headphones, so hope it's not too rough. The tunes are called "Darkside" and "Nitemarez" I'm also uploading one I finished awhile back called "Danger Machine" that I am not quite sure how I feel about.

Hi!

Listened too your tracks, unfortunately through pretty poor quality headphones, but they sound promising anyway.

Darkside:
I really like the sub-synth, when it kicks in it delivers lots of punch. Generally it feels like there's something missing though, a couple of more layers would probably do it good (in my opinion). Also the drums needs more action and more punch.

Nitemarez:
Same thing here, fatter and more interesting drums would not hurt. And also some more layers of sound. The sound quality in both tunes are good.

These are just my opinions, hope you understand what I meant in my feedback and feel it can somewhat help you in improving your tunes.

not off to a bad start but both tracks definitely need more layers and movement in general..

drums sound good but need more hats cymbals toms or whatever to keep it interesting.

some keys or a synth lead might be dope too..

just a thought.
