Weapons wise,

close combat: chainsaw, ninja stars, kukri

explosives: molotov's, napalm (both made easily anywhere)

if I could get to a gunsmiths or home - straight for the shotgun.

Also any form of Army/TA/CCF place will have guns. Get my hands on an LSW and a couple of boxes of ammo then it will be rambo style, i will fuck their shit up.

I would try to find a place up high... that way I can see the zombies coming and hopefully take them out before they climb up to where I am. Maybe walls on 3 sides with a window on one of them. That way I can focus on the 1 side the zombies can come from, but I can still bail out the window if things get rough. Gotta stock up on food and water also...

a prison, bunker and castle on St. Agnes in the Isles of Scilly would be the best idea if you ask me. they're miles out to sea, the island would be a brilliant tactical position, you'd be able to grow your own food and ganja there, its good for fishing, generally a nice place, and zombies are hardly going to go for a nice swim to look for some food.

blatantly a good island for defending or escaping

forget stadiums, shopping centres, houses, all that shit...get on anglesey, lundy, the channel islands, shetlands, all them places...or even better, a nice hot island robinson crusoe stylee! much better idea, who's with me?

very good plan I have been drawn to islands too..

but over time if the zombies (like the zombies in World War Z) would find there way across the ocean and stumble up on the island.. could be many years if not hundreds though...but possible
