Out to CFour if he remembers the 33rpm set... playing 45rpm tunes on 33 and mixing dubstep etc. Some tunes sound shower some not. We was gonna do a mix like that aswell hahah.

I remember listening to some of my mates drum and bass at 33 and thinking it sounded quite interesting i remember one track in particular by q-project i think it was slow down or spectrum city sounded like a really quality hip-hop instrumental infact it sounded better at 33!!

only record that ever threw me for a fair while is that the fitst eight frozen modules record gave me a bit of a headche for awhile

I notice quite alot of people when they are first mixing dubstep not being to able to work out the rite rpm for some tracks which is kind of understandable if you havnt hear dor played it alot before because of the variants of th rhthmys in half time hlafstep or judt alot of swing etc, wont take very long you to get a feel for it it and it becomes second nature. I have even noticed boomkat record dubstep tunes at the rong rpm before aswell so you cant be too harsh.

I've bought all the Tectonic plates to date, and they just won't play in my cd player. I do hope all that extraneous plastic's superfluous as I've had to reduce it down to a 5" disk in order for it to fit - now it won't play anything.

I've a good mind to ask for my money back quite frankly

I'm quite John Peel like when it comes to record speeds. In the end I just go with the speed which I think it sounds better. Though I'm probably mostly playing stuff at the wrong speed. I used to care about what speed records should be played but now I'm not bothered.

i reckon a screwed and chopped mix of dubstep grime and garage would be fucking sick. not enough tunes on 45 though, some modified turntables or those mad vestax ones would be in order

i listen to bits of garage on 33 sometimes, its interesting hearing the beat structure broken down. it makes it basically into druggy, bassy 90s-swing. and vocals always sound deep pitched down (no pun intended!), it brings such an interesting character to the voice

well the original screw mixes were recorded at normal speed then slowed down later. so just find one you like and slow it down
