what software packages do u guys use to get heavy bass lines? ive got an mpc and microkorg and have everything locked down besides a decent enough method of adding sick bass to my beats.

if you just want heavy subs just use a pure sine wave and that's it but then you have to layer it up with higher bass sounds to add the growl or whatever.

i take samples off my fav vsts then run em thru kontakt
ie make a reese in refx beast, absynth or z3ta+ then load in kontakt
add a flanger and phaser to send effects and load a low pass or high pass on the main fx chain
automate and layer a sub bass underneath it
then do further external fx work to taste
