when labels sell digital versions of a vinyl release, do they pay for them to be re-mastered for digital?

Or do they upload the origional mastered audio files even though really they have been mastered for vinyl?

maybe the big labels re-master and the small labels upload the vinyl master to the digi sites?

it's usually the same master that was used to cut the vinyl. At the end of the day the master is usually just the engineer making the track sound as good & loud as possible.

It would be very expensive mastering tracks twice.

no worries mate, I don't think that the 'behind the scenes' stuff should be a mystery to anyone. :4:
