The freeze function on VST tracks is a lot better and can be accesed with a right click. You can also "fold" Midi tracks i.e turn them into audio files easily. The faders are a lot better - you can now increace their height and they show there are two boxes showing the peak reading and the level at which the fader is at. They also have tick marks on the side as well. The instrumant racks make it easier to layer sounds. You can have different cross fader curves - but I don't really give a shit about that. The file system is a bit neater but there have been reports of it screwing up your old files - no problems here.stigi wrote:still running on live 5. cant afford 6 for now.
is it that worth? sampler, the bomb?
If these are the kind of things you want then its worth it. Otherwise stick with 5. Sampler is NOT included with Live 6. It's an add-on, like Operator - you pay extra.
Just ask yourself: do you really need to buy it?

I start with Reason then export tracks individually to ProTools, which I finally broke down and bought the upgrade to LE 7.1. I love Logic too, but I can't afford it yet.
