my first real attempt at a dubstep song... basically just an experiment and this is what has come out so far.
All criticism welcomed :)

My main concern is the swing/rhytim of the beat might be too rigid. Can anyone comment on it?

Cheers.

First post, but meh - I'd love some feedback on this:

http://soundcloud.com/suckabeat/isreal-josh-k

This isnt really aimed at the dancefloor, more deeper side of things...

btw download the 320k version...

Man, I see what you mean, by extending it do you mean you want it to drop and kinda get a bit heavier?

First off, that sounds really promising, I like the vibe big time. Maybe you should try introducing a new drum kit and bassline after the 'ahHhHhHh' in the background? Kind of difficult to describe what I mean...

Don't give up on it though!

I Made this last night between 1am and 7am... my prime working hours...

I'd love some feedback, I feel like this track could be huge!

I liked the wobble bass in your tune, but I think you could figure out some better ways to bring all the different synths in once the beat kicks in. try some fade in's / out's. also, try changing the beat up more. I kinda got bored with it after a while. overall a solid tune though...

Thanks Dignan, it's cool that you liked my boom track too, I thought I might be a bit crazy, gonna keep working on it.

You've got some nice laid back vibes going with silly noose.

Theres a echoey ding synth sound you have in there, and I feel like it might be out of time, it doesn't sound BAD, but I feel as if its off, you might have wanted that but I'm just letting you know it struck me when I listened.

Also, I feel like your snares are a bit harsh for the vibe too, maybe try using a different type of snare or mess with velocities etc.?

Keep on it man! nice!

you talking about the echoey part in the first half of the tune with the claps? or the second part where the snare comes in?

Just wonder what you guys think of this, production wise and what you think musically of these tracks:

Tried to remix this Nosaj Thing track, make it more ambient and give it a 2-stp beat with a nice rolling bass:
http://dl-client.getdropbox.com/u/71572 ... mix%29.mp3

Some kind of 8-bit experiment:
http://dl-client.getdropbox.com/u/71572 ... oud.10.mp3

Bumped this out today, i'm not sure about a lot of the synths yet, but I like the bare beat with the sub:

Thanks for (hopefully) listening!
