Cannibal Ox
I can't believe it's 8 years since they release "The Cold Vein". It still sounds pretty damn fresh to me. Probably my favorite hip-hop album of all time. Sci-fi production with the lyrics to match it. I absolutely love it.
Can't say I'm too thrilled about either Vordul nor Vast Aire's solo stuff. They should get back together with El-P and make some more dope shit.
Atoms Family were pretty damn good too.
Any other fans here? Anyone got to see them live? How were they?

It's in the sound track to Fallout 3. Rob Sonic's got some pretty decent stuff too. Saw him with Aesop Rock a bit over a year ago, kinda crappy sounding, but a good show, and they were good together.J-sh wrote:Fuuucckkk hadn't heard this before
Is there a reason why iron galaxy is so familiar?
like was it on a soundtrack or like a game or something cuz i know ive heard it somewhere before even recognised lyrics and stuff but i swear ive never heard it

Back in the dayz we used to sit cross legged in a circle at DMZ and signal the DJ with joss sticks.

This is my favorite "Winter Album" this and GZA's Liquid Swords; just like "Only Built 4 Cuban Linx" is my favorite summer albummawltea wrote:I can't believe it's 8 years since they release "The Cold Vein". I catagorize it as a winter album because these cold winters here in Rochester just give you a screwface, and the beats feel like they were made in a freezer
Too bad we'll probably never see another Can-OX release due to their little beef

I put it on zshare it's off Vast Aire's latest solo record Deuces Wild
Track's called The Man Without Fear, kindof reminiscent of their old work
