l-wiz ep [a festive story]

Post by sek [espionage] » Sat Dec 24, 2005 1:55 am

I was happy to find my local shop stalking a couple copies of the L-Wiz EP on dub police.
There were four guys previewing tunes around the listening station in shop today.
Some hard house guy, a rare grooves dj, a hophop head and myself.
I asked my buddy who works there to skip through the EP.
Playing each track, one by one each of the other djs in the shop asked.. "woah what the f**k is this? is badass!"
By the the third cut 'habibi" these guys were freaking out.. the hip hop guy was banging on the wall and shit.
long story short.. the shop sold all 3 copys in under 2 minutes.

Thought that was pretty cool and wanted to share with you guys...

Happy Holidays from Toronto :)

I can feel how the moment was for you, i've been there before many times before.

Random people hearing the sound for the first time and digesting it in a positive way.

Yeah big up L-Wiz from Sweden, they've been lingering for a while now in the scene and have been building nice beats for a while now....
