Exactly. This remix is shit. MJ Cole can like whatever he wants. He can also make a good tune or a bad tune just like anyone. That doesn't mean I take his opinion, even on a remix of his own tune, to be fact. It's an opinion.

It's just a damn shame what they've done with this tune. Social sanctions are bound to occur when you fuck with a classic. Sack up and quit crying about it. Some people like it and some people don't.

i think it's a matter of taste really. i think this tune is okay, i've never heard the original though. it's a bit standard for Nero's sound, which is what people like and want to hear. can't really hate on that.

not to say anyone's opinion invalid, but i do believe it's invalid to call another's taste in music wrong.

actually, after a few listens and a few spliffs, i'm feeling this tune. still wish it had more of the complexity and depth of the original but for what it is i like it

What is a wobble?
You've made dnb for long enough, i know you know what it is!
Well I'd say its usually a square wave with a 'squeltchy' resonant lfo on it playing a pattern that accentuates the feeling of wobbling around. I think what you're doing is confusing lfo with wobble. Or do you think that synthesizers should start replacing lfo with the word 'wobble'?
yeah I think it should be replaced with the word 'wobble', just so that all good producers know to keep the fuck away from it

hahahahahaha i cant believe you said that dude, that's the most ridiculous statement I've seen on this forum. Filters are a crucial part of subtractive synthesis, LFOs on filters equally as important and widely used since the dawn of synthesizers. You're basically writing off the majority of electronic music.

Well thankfully MJ Cole doesn't share your view.
If it has the respect of the original producer there isn't a problem with me!
Personally, wouldn't buy it but if a dj dropped it i would sing along and if drunk would skank out and it does it's job.

many people have a strong attachment to Sincere and quite a few of them will be more than a little dissapointed to see all the delicious tension and beautiful life squeezed out of it.
I suppose i wasn't around for garage (well i got into dubstep through garage but i was fucking 11 when i was DJing DND and listening to twice as nice comps) so I never really had an attachment to the tune (I liked it but it wasn't "special") :P)

thankfully not, will avoid that for as long as possible, another amazing tune probably getting destroyed.

PS this song is still shit and should be deleted

It'd be a travesty if anyone touched Stone Cold, especially if it was made into this halfstep drum and bass shite that seems so popular with the kids these days.

Even the last DMZ seemed to be full of tunes with that generic dnb kick drum build up to generic drop (duh-duh-duh-duh-duhduhduhduhduhduhduhduh----drop), each to their own and all that but isn't it all getting a bit fucking dull and predictable now?

this^ is the truth. when tunes are designed around big drops (like dnb), what you get is predictable music. when you go back to el-b/horsepower days and examine that music, its 5-6 min tunes without drops or build ups. totally unpredictable and mysterious.

the vibes and rollers are fading in 2009, to be replaced by moshpits, jump up and smash-your-face-off one hour sets which is exactly the reason why dnb has gotten so stupid in the last 5 years.

Don't worry, twas a joke.

This tune is terrible, but saying that almost every tune that gets hyped on here these days is, it's just a shame it's ruined a genuinely good tune.
