I dont mind it tbh, how people can get this upset about a remix of a tune is laughable, if u hate it THAT much an prefer the original, then dont listen to it and listen to that instead, simple as that.

8)

Im sure there are plenty of people that do like this remix, no one is forced to listen to anything they are PERSONALLY not feeling.

Missing the point here I think Rob... the complaint isn't about using LFOs per se, it's the ubiquitous trend of using a mid range synth line with a simple low pass cutoff LFO on it, over the top of a sub and a half step beat. Or just a triplets synth/sub line with the same sort of beat, as in this remix. It's SUCH a cliche, and it's SO unimaginative. People are more than justified in rallying against it.
again, this.

Maybe everyone should just stop having an opinion. I think that would please a majority of the regular fence sitters on this forum.

I agree, Although tis abit dissapointing when you see theres a remix out and then its not how you imagined or you feel that the remixer hasnt done the original justice.

Liked the intro but i think the bassline melody was part of the magic of the original and anyone remixing it should have built a rmx around this.

But thats just my opinion of course!

each to there own n all that!

Its one thing to say like you have that people should be a bit more original in their midrange basses thats fair enough but to say any tune with a wobble is wank and that producers shouldn't use LFOs on their filters is completely retarded. This tune is pretty unoffensive compared with Nero's other tunes if ppl want to start threads on those tunes fair enough I'm not into some of them for the same reason as you but I don't think this tune deserves it.

Doesn't matter if this remix is actually good or not. Once it gets rinsed by whoever on Rinse the mindless massif will buy it up. You know that, I know that, Nero knows that, MJ Cole probably knows that.

I've gotta say though, every time one of the bigger DJs in the scene come out in favor of some remix that ends up being total shit it really damages their credibility with me. People I used to listen to their shows to hear new tunes don't even interest me anymore.

I don't have an attachment to the original so I'm diggin the new version... it's a pretty typical Nero sound but I dig that sound... say that I'm the lowest common denominator if you will

I can fully see this going off HUGE in the dance!

will swoop it when it's released and have some fun with it

Some pretty fascist views in this thread. I thought the remix was sick when I first heard it in the club and I still think its sick. I probably wouldnt consider myself a "wobble" fan and I havn't enjoyed nero's tunes that much before but I like this one...

This forum needs to be shut down, its full of faceless little shits sat in front of a pc screen inbetween wanks. You can critique music but when you lot talk about producers like they are scum for something you barely understand its laughable and out of order.

Id love to see anyone go up to dan or (in particular) Rob in a club and say "OI MATE FUCK YOU AND FUCK YOUR MUSIC YOUR RETARDED"

These guys know music in a classical sense, which is a fucking lot. Most people in dubstep just "make tunes" with no thought of subtle harmonies, tone and a basic grasp of production.

If you dont want your mind warped by idiots stay off the forum, make your own opinion, this place is like a disease. It puts me right off dubstep

NERO REMIX of MJ COLE SINCERE

Post by dirtythievingmongrels » Wed Jun 24, 2009 1:24 pm

ok lads, time to set the record straight......there are some serious haters, trying pass of well articulated but totally unrequired criticism.

to those of you who are producer/djs, or indeed are highly fanatical about the possibilty of at some stage earning a crust of making and exhibiting music. You are in the minority.

Put as a simple analogy, you "haters" whilst knowledgable in the methodology of music production, are the equivelant to Skoda, talking to Ferrari about how to win next years constructors championship. Yeah, Skoda can talk when it comes to an occasional ralley but can fuck right off when it comes to Formula One.

If you are fortunate enough to possess the carefully guarded secret of how to make a dancefloor smasher that keeps both the unbeknown raver in the crowd happily bouncin for 8 hours and at the same time combine that with a rhythm only translatable by Miles Davis then crack on kid.

But you haters no, as well as i know, you're just hating because that chinstroke shite you make at home, that pile of poop you bleed your heart into because your girlfriend left you again and leaves you in such a state of emotional turmoil that you can only make complex records to match you bi-polarised personality.....yeah, well those records are for you, and a few of your mates......

Nero's tunes however are for the most important people of all.....the dancefloor public, who didn't get into dubstep for an education, wasn't to express there colonial root heritage or indeed meant to change the wold.....they were made, and would seem effectively used to rinse out a dance floor.

If you think a load of people on a dancefloor stroking there chin is what its all about, then use your energy and time to promote that apsect of it.Don't use it to inadevrtanly critique something that has musical and commercial dynamics your futile brain refuses to accept.

again, some halfwhit wanting to breakdown the reasons as to why NERO's of MJ Cole's Sincere is somehow unsatifactory.....

Nice to see how you can identify how the very records you hate are made, but haven't heard anything about how you would have remixed the record yourself....

Sat there, stroking your chin when using your keyboard to write your awful critique.....also sat there stroking your shaft when really, you wanted to "make it big" with your "different" compositions.

SHAFTSTROKING GENIUS!
