Whats your most vivid memory of dubstep so far?

I was just having a conversation with one my mates whos really into dnb and we got onto the subject of best memories in music,

Mine would have to be the 1st dubstep night i attended a few years back standing right at the front with a beer as kromestar drops "Attention" that moment will always stay with me i think.

I am yet to attend a DMZ tho, im pretty sure that will go down as one when i do.

Mine is still the first time I heard dubstep. Me and a mate were both on acid wandering through a field at about 3am, there's was thick fog everywhere, literally couldn't see further than half a metre in front of you, was almost like being in a giant white room.
My mate just goes "Oh, you'll love this" and he whips out his phone with Skream's 0800 playing. Was the weirdest experience, that track will forever have me wandering through fog.

Similar to most peoples probably, first dubstep experience, Mala at Detonate a few years ago. I'd never heard anything like it and those tunes from like 06 - 07 will NEVER die

And... first visit the West Indian Centre last Nov, The Bug and Flowdan, a night I certainly wont forget in a hurry. I know i'm not gonna forget waiting for the National Express at 10.30 in the morning!

DMZ 3rd Bday was one of the first nights i went to & it just changed everything... Everyone in there was so hyped & goin mental for it was pure vibes all night. Pretty much set the bar very high & Dubstep as a whole is still 2 let me down I Just keep hearing better & better things all the time!

failing that taking other people to dubstep nights & watchin there reaction is always good for memories

Kode 9 playing the Martyn remix of Broken Heart at 5:30am to a packed DMZ 3 Year. Was my first time hearing that tune and it was very emotional

I have been following the music since late 05 but moved away from London at the same time so most of my exposure was through DL mixes from this forum/Rinse etc and recently buying tunes again

Biggest impact so far is prob my first DMZ (the 4th Bday bash)
I walked in as Joker dropped Purple City and it hit me so hard
"Aaah this is the system this tune was made for"
I love FEELING the music

My best music memory was definately seeing Ministry in 1995 in a small club called Selinas at Coogee Beach in Sydney, Australia. I was on acid and Ministry were as tight as a humming birds pussy and as loud as a jet engine. Although the sound was massive it was very clean.

As for Dubstep................my fav Dubstep memory is obviously the first time I heard Goth Trad's "Far East Assassin" after purchasing it as my first Dubstep 12". I just bought it without listening to it and was floored by it!

ha, that's funny, I lost my virginity after seeing Ministry for the 2nd time...yeah, they were always a good live act(Mike Sacchia headbanging was always great)

my memorable dubstep moments...

-hearing the instrumental to Skepta's "Serious Thugs" in an old Kode9 mix(made me realize that hip hop wasn't a far jump from dubstep, and no, I don't necessarily consider this a grime beat)

-hearing Bob Grommit drop DZ's remix of Bobby Caldwell's "What You Won't Do for Love" live, was my first time hearing it, and I count my lucky stars I heard it on a club system.

-Hearing Iron Soul for the first time(more people need to write tracks in this style)
