So the CPS, the Jury, the Judge, the forensics, the evidence etc. is ALL wrong. I think you need to come to terms with the fact that your friend killed someone. :(

Get him one of those 24 packs of noodle ramen.. he'll love you for it trust.

I'm letting a friend of mine play my next party cause he's about to go in. Kind of like a going away thing.

I know, and with out knowing anything about the case or circumstances I can't really comment. I once didn't want to believe something because it was easier to do that than to accept the reality. But that was me, and something quite different. You know your friend and the case better than I do, sorry.

Your friend is lucky to have someone like you to support him and I hope everyone gets through it.

Safe for that. Yeah saw a film where they dipped a whole jigsaw puzzle of a map of the world in LSD and one guy got mashed after dropping half of Africa. Pretty sure the prison system must have cottoned on to that one though.
Not about putting senders address on that package!
Tbh I'd hate to be trippin' in prison, sorry about your friend though mate, that's a really shitty deal. Attempted murder seems a bit much :\

most young men in gaol are there because of drugs,
would be good if they could be kept drug-free to work out their shit
but this probably applies to the world at large.

brother is in and has been for a long time. write about nothing, just random shit happening in the world. tell them about the shit happening in Iran or whatever. have a real dialogue and keep them updated about the world. if they ask questions answer them, but mainly don't remind them about the outside world that they are missing, because it just sucks that much more.

once they get in a routine, like work or some shit, time flies in there anyway. don't get them thinking about how long they have and shit. time is time.

Loads of my friends have gone to prison, my cousin, my oldest mate I've known since I was five. None of them even get a letter when they're inside, I don't give a fuck. As soon as they go to prison they gets no love from me. No visits, no phonecalls, no letters, and I tell them that straight.

if dont know the circumstances obviously but attempted murder sounds very steep. if it was a brawl on a night out, and the guy who got bottled was the aggressor, and therefore he's the type that goes round town starting beef, getting bottled isn't really the end of his world is it? what a bastard for pressing it.
obviously using a bottle for defence wasn't wise but he'd have been scared and an attempted murder sentence is unfair for a bad decision made in that situation.

separately i can think of nothing worse than being on lsd in prison though.
