It's all about Health & Safety my friend so it's a risk. If someone screws themselves up on anything you could be in some trouble?

yeah this is obviously going to be an issue as well... which makes me think a quarry could be a bit of a dangerous location? ive heard so many horror stories about people coming to serious harm at parties like this.

you can't be held responsible for everything people do but you do have a 'Duty Of Care' to the partygoers. which basically means do what you can to stop people hurting themselves. make sure that any drops, ponds, cliffs, generators etc etc that might be easily accessible are well-lit, preferably roped off and have some kind of warning sign on them, have a first aid kit handy, provide water, make sure someone is sober enough to drive and knows what to do if anything goes wrong.

all sound advice, thanks a lot! this is the advantage of the feild i think, people will hopefully find it hard to hurt themselves using nothing but a lot of grass..

a quarry just sounds like it could be a bit dangerous to me, and id hate for anyone to get hurt!

I definitely wouldn't throw a party at a quarry, as some wasted fuck will no doubt drown or fall off a cliff. Quarries are notoriously dangerous places, even if you are sober.

yeah this is exactly what im thinking, although it would make an amazing location, alcohol, various other narcotics, big drops and water dont seem like a good mix...
