I downloaded tonights, it's on torrents already - look for:
Top.Gear.S13E03.WS.PDTV.XviD-RiVER
James May (tnuc) went over to California to meet some American rally driver and dirt biker, and piss about.. that's the top and bottom of it but it was amazing

i cant even imagine what the budget for top gear is, its just always so rediculous.
and then on top of that, whatever special insurance they have on all the cars they drive and on themselves. theres a LOT of money involed in this show.

IIRC it's around £800k to a million per episode.
So:
UK£ 1 million = 1.6332 million U.S. dollars
Shit load of money, but they'll make it back as it's one of the most popular BBC exports.

was a good show, cinematography in that piece was awesome. Think they used super slow HD to film that as well. On a random tip - neone see South Pacific and the super slow HD in that - amazing!

Ken Block's the fucking man.... the video he released for DC earlier this year was mental. I think it was probably filmed in that same airfield.

You pay your TV licence so you can get all manner of things other than TV advert free. Spire doesn't pay because his / her broadcaster buys it off the BBC (thus creating more revenue for the BBC and keeping the licence fee down) with money created from selling air time to companies to advertise their goods.
James May is a tnuc though, despite it
