All about Cyrus' set. The equivalent of Pinch's last time round. Fucking deep. Loads of rhythmic variation too which was really nice to hear.

Seriously though, the vibes at DMZ are so awesome. Everyone is so unbelievably nice, it's unreal.

What you really need to do to make that come down even better is buy some massive rockets find a cat/small dog. And then use your creativity.

Stick a potato in foil in the fire leave for a few hours and you'll have a lovely jacket potato. Thats assuming you can eat with the come down.......

as a dmz first-timer, and despite the fact that i heard from several people that it was a 'slow night', i thought that it was a massive party!! was an awesome feeling to walk onto the floor and to see so many ppl shockin and bruckin out to the sounds of dubstep. that sight in itself is a huge inspiration to me, and an impression which i will take back home and strive to duplicate on my home turf. sound was big, i wasn't disappointed... not the cleanest system, but weighty as f**k and pressing in on my chest and tickling my scalp exactly as it should.

benga's set was the highlight of the night for me. even tho it was 4:30 (and supposedly 'slow') and even tho the crowd had thinned out already, benga managed to get 6 consecutive pullups at the start of his set (all his tunes ofcoz!), a sequence that was interrupted only when he tossed in a coki tune (not a bad thing either, ofcoz). the mixing was also quite good, and i am now more than ever convinced that we need to get this boy to germany!! out to ya, mate!!!

second hilight for me were the mystikz tunes 'dun stinky' and 'bury the bwoy' (second of which benga played a second time towards the end).... sounded absolutely huge, big up mala n coki! joe nice set was good because it offered some good, not-often-heard variety, tho i had hoped for some more u.s. artists representation. however, i am gutted that i missed both heny g and cyrus' sets... i blame some truly potent london skunk for that! :R: next time for sure tho, and next time soon come no doubt!!

big respect to mala, coki, and loefah for a massive party, big up benga for set of the night, and big up all the other djs and micmen of the evening!

this might be the wrong place for this, but also out to subeena, boomnoise, letitia, unlikely, deapoh, n-type, walsh, bandit, vicious, jamie vex'd and all the other peeps i talked to and met out here in the past three days. was an intense weekend... i now need a vacation from my vacation... :?

That was just silly. Cant describe it any other way. Got in there at 10.30 expecting the venue to be larger, but by 12 when it filled up it seemed like a different place. The atmosphere was crazy. Large up everyone, every DJ came with a different selection, Mr Nice was not fucking about, Magnetic Man went off! Wish i hadnt got pissed the night before, by half 5 i could barely stand but i couldnt leave.

Special shouts to the dodgy cab driver who crashed into a parked car and blamed the bad parking
