Help me name a night?

Post by dbn » Tue Jul 07, 2009 8:17 pm

Alright guys, I always hate seeing these kind of posts on other forums but I genuinely can't come up with much of any use. Background is I'm running a studentish dubstep/glitch/idm night in a few weeks and need to get a name soon to get promo sorted. Been at it for a week and all i've shit is pretty shit. Liking the Untitled! name. Bastards! Current ideas are sixseven and the 420.

So thought I'd come here to see if anyone has any ideas?

whatever you do, don't call it the 420...

titles with the words "bass" or "dub" are kind of generic... try and think of something that is unique to your audience's community.

Yeah 420 was kinda deliberate but the rep is why we prob won't go with it. DebtStep is good, thanks for that, not sure if we want the debt association though. All suggestions appreciated people! Thanks so far!

I guess there are other factors...

what kinda vibe, where is it, what language do you speak in your country, etc...

Alcoholic Monday's...
Tuesday's... etc.

Have some GREAT drink specials and you're good.

You know that if it's on that you ain't drawing for no metal.
I know them rap songs got you thinking you're some kind of G.
Well if that's the case, then Que Sera and what will be will be

nah don't want the "twisted tuesday" type vibe.. untitled, dmz, that kinda obscure vibe.. just across the irish sea from you guys so yeah.. electro/indie is the deal at the mo and we wana bring something new to this country.. going for college people and other people around that age but it's bout the music not just the booze like other nights..

yeah dub freq that's what we're goin for.. not quite as blunt as that though!

Call it "SYNDROME"

That way you can ring up everyone and ask them "Are you going down Syndrome?"

Make sure you have enough bass bins, lions of Judah and tanks on the flyer.
