Best place to order dubstep vinyl?

Post by daylan77 » Wed Jul 15, 2009 5:20 am

I live in the US and I was wondering where the best place to order dubstep vinyl is. I'm not impressed with the selection in any of the local shops in my area and haven't found a good place in the US to mail order from. I'm thinking the high shipping costs are worth ordering from the UK. Does anybody have any suggestions on where the best place to order from might be? I was looking at possibly ordering from Chemical Records. Any comments / good or bad experiences with international ordering from them?

Thanks!

redeye records. £5.60 for most 12"s, and their shipping is probably still cheaper than ordering from most US shops. they've never let me down.

Chemical, have not used them, anyone?? Since I found Redeye, no point in going anywhere else cause they are the cheapest online record shop ive ever come across-the deal breaker for most sites are the shipping charges, they are the most reasonable, without them i would not buy that much vinyl, cheers redeye-

All the bigs ones are good, but support the smaller independants - www.rootedrecords.co.uk is a Bristol institution, dubstep would not be the same without this place.

I'm all for supporting local and independent stores. Thing is, my local record shops aren't much for stocking new dubstep. So, my main concern right now is shipping costs; They're a killer when you're ordering from overseas!! I compared international shipping costs between Chemical and Redeye, and Redeye seems to charge nearly half the price as Chemical. How is Rooted when it comes to international ordering?

dunno about chemical ive got some dodgy vinyls from there before. its ok for listening through tunes because it gives you a long preview.

redeye definately though, its cheap and the delivery is killer.

+1 for Redeye.

By far the cheapest on delivery and I can't see how anyone will be able to beat their customer service. I emailed them a query today and had a reply and solution within 20 minutes, very impressed!

Also I ordered a few bits today at like 2 and they have already been dispatched ready for delivery tomorrow!

Oh, and they always seem to have stuff in stock when everyone else has sold out!
Out Now:
DD005 - Retrospect
MRS029 - Connected/Lovin' You
DAR010 - Santogold - Shove It (remix) 12"
SET003 - Bob Marley - Is This Love (remix) 12"
Echodub Loves Volume 2 - White Room
FTW Records Digital - Panic Room
FTW Free Compilation - Get Up (a.k.a Symphony)
