Stephen Hawking vocoder?

Post by yamaz » Wed Jul 15, 2009 7:08 am

Anyone know how to get that Stephen Hawking speech synthesis sound? It's the same one Radiohead uses with "Fiitter, happier and more fucking productive!"

For accuracy's sake it is not a vocoder, which is completely a different thing :)

oh yeah true, it's just a text to speech module, secretly Stephen Hawking is a major producer, Benga? Fake, it's Stephen Hawking who produced that shit, same for Grooverider and Bach... Stephen Hawking is a musical prodigy! His wheelchair is just a big DAW in disguise...

The cool thing about good TTS apps (I ShitTalker) is that you can make them say things phonetically... so you can make them have "accents" and shit. I've figured out a basic New York and Ebonics accent this way.

Heh.
