Juno and most stores you can just sign up, they will send a contract and what not. Beatport is tricky to get on. You have to have good tunes and a clear business plan. I got on via distro but just because you have distro doesn't mean you will get accepted.

i dont think beatport is even accepting new labels at this point (unless you're an already established label)

i believe this is the key point.you need an agrigator (*aka a middle man distro)to even get in at all.at least thats what they told us.

It definitely doesn't hurt. I think because of the sheer amount of content they have to work with it is much easier for them to deal with a distributor. My distro uses a system called FUGA which I briefly read about. Juno recently sent me a note basically saying they would rather work with my distro than me because of that

Make sure you have artists whom have a registry on selling really well in your roster and release schedule.

Not necessarily, I have had releases do 3x as much on Juno than Digital-tunes and vice versa. It is interesting how different styles do on different sites.

Lol at you saying you don't have a chance. So you think that you do not have good tunes and a clear plan? Good luck to you then.
