While that applies for women comedians, I fail how it applies to musicians. People who become musicians don't do it to impress the opposite sex (the good ones anyway).
alot of them start off that way man, then grow a love for it

anyway you spin it there 100 times more great men musicians than women

why that is, is debatable but its true.
maybe...but alice coltrane, billie holiday, nina simone, ella fitzgerald, linda perhacs, vashti bunyan, alice russell, sarah vaughan, bat for lashes, kate bush etc are all pretty dope
true but those are from the past and alot arent alive...name recent ones?
MIA.....Bjork....that chick who plays the harp and sounds like an elf (name?)

i dont hate women by any means i just wish more women would care to play good music instead of the self serving pop going around
bat for lashes, kate bush. vashti bunyan & alie russell are all still alive and making music...

santogold is good as well...then there's feist...also plenty of women making music less about the things that perhaps we are about...nevertheless it's music....madonna, beyonce, girls aloud, lady gaga etc.....it's still music

the majority of them however are only copying other styles and have about as much musical talent as a typist.

the hate for women in this thread honestly tells a lot more about y'all than women.

these complaints about women make about as much sense as a woman at a lesbian folk festival complaining about how no men make good music. then listing iron and wine and will oldham as the only examples of decent music made by men.

I do think its interesting that while there are only a few female dubstep producers getting played out they are all probably in the top 10-20 producers who are pushing the sound and being innovative with it

while there are great women musicians there just aren't as MANY as men musicians, especially nowadays. im sure if you loaded up your itunes right now 90 percent of it is men musicians on both men and womens playlists.

. it really is rare for women to get good at instruments besides singing.

I DONT HATE WOMEN so dont put words in my mouth, all im saying is that it would be nice if there was more of a balance between the sexes in music.

and i don't recall this being "make fun of other peoples shitty opinions" thread.

if it was i could be here for days looking at some of the previous entries....

Word to that! :D
There are of course lots of girls doing great things, and to call people "boring" just because they are interested in different things than you is obviously a bit stupid (of me) to say. It had been a little bit in the back of my mind though, and seeing as this was the "post your unpopular opinions"-thread, I thought I'd say it.

true they are interested in different things, often times their interest in music is more of a "in the background" type deal.

me-"so what type of music do you like?"

her-"uhhh....everything"

NEXT.

i dont find female music boring, like i said, i just want to hear more of it.

I find girls have a more laid back attitude to genres, which I suppose could be considered a good thing. Altho far too often I'll ask what a lass is into, she'll answer 'rave music like pendulum', rave music like pendulum, rave music, then I deliever a tnuc punt and be on my way.

Cheese is unnatural and disgusting and just rubbish

Think, it's curdled milk that is sometimes left until it has mold in it.
