Damn that thread was a downer! Mine hasn't come yet, hoping it isn't true...

My copy of test sounds great, so maybe there is hope...

I thought they did "test" presses first to make sure everything is fine???

TPs don't necessarily guarantee the quality of the pressing - they're more there to check the quality of the cut, and to ensure there's no actual fault in the cut/stamper such as skips, and to ensure the stamper is ok and no nasty shit got in there during the processing.

what can happen is crap collecting on the stampers during pressing - so some copies can be ok, and as more units get pressed stuff builds up and you get dodgy vinyl. There's not a lot you can do about this, it's just one of those things, and apart from checking every single unit by hand (not very practical!!) there's not much you can do apart from replace bad copies when they are discovered...

hope the pressings arent weak. thing is though wasnt the album delayed for so long because of weak pressings?

pretty sure the delayed time is worth it so it should all be cool

shame if the skips are on that sty/quasar side cause it's the joint.

i could have tolerated the slighty poor quality on other tracks, had Beauty been ok. However its the worst sounding track on the album, so mine will be getting sent back to Chemical!

fingers crossed the issue is resolved along the line somewhere, as this album is such a beautiful piece of music, it's an injustice to not hear it how its supposed to be heard

Why don't you just download it? I downloaded it about month ago and my version is absolutely fine, even better when I burnt it to CD to give to my mate. Been rinsing that remix of Skreams - Filth he did so happy I have got that in the bag now, sounds amazing.
