"Dub Echoes"
Finally got round to watching this today and I have to say, just wow.
Very interesting, I'd go as far as to say mind blowing!
I feel like I can take what most of the interviewees were saying, and apply it to my own music. I can tell it's gonna be very influential in what I make from now on.
If you haven't seen it, it's well worth the time, effort and funds to do so.
As a long-time dub addict, i was surprised by how much I didn't already know about the genre! I was also surprised simply by how good it was- I was expecting it to be an okay amateur level documentary featuring interviews from someone who was friends with someone who's aunty once walked past Black Ark during a trip to Jamaica.
Instead there were interviews with Bunny Lee, Lee Scratch, Prince Jammy, scientist, Dub Professor, and even an appearance from Kode 9!
My only negative thought is that the section on dubstep could've been covered more thoroughly, with only a short clip of Kode 9 talking about it, but that's insignificant due to how interesting and all-round great this documentary is.
Did I mention it's really good btw?

Yeah really good stuff, I agree shame they didn't mention dubstep more but it's still a baby compared to the main theme of the docu so I guess that's why. A small bit with LTJ Bukem as well that I remember.. and quite a bit of dnb and jungle talk. Congo Natty in there smoking a fat spliff too, and going a bit blank for a sec lol. Good stuff.

I think I'm going to watch this whilst feeling sorry for myself tonight...

Track in Dub Echoes doc. trailer
digital dub vs. dubiterian , deb dub.
For me sounds better in the trailer than the proper track in the Dub Echoes album , but still a good tune.
About the doc. , really great work with the score production , coming fronm left , escaping to right...Dope , as brits will say.
A dubhead from the running of the bulls town in (not so ) sunny Spain.
