Very, very, very rough cut of our first try at this. Quality is shit and the bassline might be a bit repetetive, but keep in mind that this is a debut-production.

Slap some feedback this way.

@X-Fyah-What you have sounds ok to me. Not too much of a tune there though man imo, a little variation would be nice. I suggest getting a soundcloud page too for w.i.p's.

@86- I like it! I would say a little variation in that bass occasionally would be very tasteful, turn up the hand drums, they get lost in the mix a bit, maybe need a bit of eq work to brighten them just a bit, they seem a tad flat to me, I would also suggest reworking your HP sweep @227 as its just a bit off to me, I'm feelin what you're trying to do with it there, but it's not working too well. Also your panning techniques leave a bit to be desired, especially at the outro, which would be very delightful except that you've completely taken the sound out of one side of the stereo field in several places, which, imo, does not sound very good. All in all I love the tune, very creative and different. It's a bit too busy and would benefit greatly from the removal of some samples to add a bit of space and just a little bit of variation in the bass. Good work.

Bring the Ruckus is dope, but it def needs more to it. Right now it's a 3:27 loop. But if you switched the bassline up some it could be dope. And a little switching up with the drums at some point in the track would be good.

The Wu sample is ill though.

The other track is real skeletal so I can't say much about it.

need some help here people, mixed this last night on headphones but i have no decent speakers where i am atm, can some1 tell me how it sounds on some mointors, specifically the bass, but the mix in general as well

Deep sub, sick! The drums are tight as well. But some variation on the lead would make this track crazy.

This song is sick

Thanks for checking it out man!

I get what you're saying in regards to everything:

- I'm starting to mess more with the EQ automation business, after listening to this a bunch now, I realize it may be to aggressive/plain not working well at times (especially with the outro)

- re: being to busy, definitely working towards a less is more approach, it may be a bit hard to get fully "into" the song

- re: the drums, feel you here too. definitely aren't too lively

glad you liked it overall

peace

Alright, got a mostly complete version of this new tune I been workin on posted on my soundcloud, pretty summery, dancey vibes, definitely a deep tune so if all you like is wobble don't even listen to it 'cause I don't wanna hear you tell me to add a wobble. Apart from that all feedback is appreciated, you will need to turn up your monitors a bit b/c there's some headroom in the tune still, and unfortunately, my CPU is at the max that it can handle so I'm kinda stuck on doing too much to this joint until I get a new comp. First one on the page, called Good Feelins.

checked out "Good Feelins"... diggin the vibes, the synths are slamming. my only qualms with it is that the kick and snare are mad low. and that one hi hat is way too loud... the "tsk-tsk" one. other than that it's sounding sick!

@Dignan-Word thanks, will turn up the sounds and turn down the hi-hat.

@Pess-Only thing really I can hear is I think your kick is just a bit weak and not really packing the kind of punch you want to back a bass line this strong, which sound good btw. I would say though that you would benefit from a little glide/porto on that bass imo. In some places it's just a bit too staccato to really carry me as fluidly as I would like it to. Good synth work, just a little beef in the kick and some overall work on the movement and variation of the tune and you've got a decent tune here.

@ hurlingdervish the track starts out so great, but disappoints once it reaches the drop. The bass has plenty weight, but needs a longer attack to remove the click and when paired with the first pad after the drop it get weak. Really picks up though once that appregio starts up, then the third act is great. I'd say remove the first part completely, and focus you attention on the third part's drop. Remember that dance music sometimes has to be like pop music, don't do too much because what you want is to get the tune stuck in people's heads. I'm really enjoying the synths over the bassline I must say, simplify the bassline and let the great synth work dance over it. Hit me up on soundcloud whenever you come up with newer stuff, I hear lots of potential once it's all slimmed down and arranged.

Worked on this tune quite a bit, wonder what you guys think? Too weird for the dancefloor?

@ IanFM

what do you mean the first part of the song, not the intro right but the "drop"?

yea i can see it lacks impact i was mixing the elements around for a while trying to get the mid range right, but im still not satisfied, i could drop the wobble all together except for fills because the synth and bass do fill up nicely. im thinking maybe fuck the who dance thing and stick with the chill vibe

your song is great, but its not dance, reminds me of the fourtet/burial split but its still unique. that beep is definitely cool too ahah, catches you by suprise but maybe only do it a couple of times? it kind of loses its impact if you know its coming

is this an FL studio production?
