Copywright

One for the trainnspotters!

In about 1992/93 my (then) flatmate had a superb album by a 'band' called Copywright. They wrote their name with the symbol - a C in a circle.

The music was slow and dubby with lush female vocals - a bit like Portishead or Massive Attack. I have a feeling Jah Wobble was involved at some point but can't be sure.

One track defintely had the lyrics "Cold and grey in the heart of the city..."

And that is about as much as I can remember. My mate works for Mojo and she's asked the oracle Fred Dellar - he's foxed. My old flatmate has shot his brains to pieces with too much substance abuse and has hazier memories than me. But he does recall the disc, the all white sleeve and the lovely female vocals.

Any aged dub heads out there who can help me?
