I choose Fallout 3. It isn't like the earlier two, but it's a lot of fun. GTA 4 feels even less like the earlier games in the series, but in a very uncomfortable way.

cant go wrong with either. real hard to decide

fallout is more about constant decision making and can really only be enjoyed by yourself

gta is all out fun and is good to have so you can pass the controller around with friends and just fuck shit up

im assuming that youre familiar with the gta's. four is what youve come to expect which is dope but fairly predictable.

if youve never played fallout id say go ahead and get it instead to experience a fresh style of gameplay. i was thoroughly absorbed and addicted for a long time.

yeah go for fallout

Well in Fallout 3 you can choose to be good, bad, neutral, very bad, or a saint. You can save a town by dissarming a nuke or blow the town up by arming the nuke, you can set a bunch of slaves free or capture more slaves, you can even save a lad from giant ants who has lost his family in the attack you can take him to his aunties to live, a town for kids called little lamplight or you could be evil and sell him to parradise falls as a slave. theres so much to do and so many diffrent ways to do it, you could be playing this game for months on end still finding new things or start over again and play the game as a diffrent type of caracter. plus the perks vats and dlc making the game never end and giving you new places like point lookout and the pitt kick ass.
And some of the shit you can do is funny but sick, try sneaking up on someone pickpocket them but dont take anything and stick a live grenade in there pocket.. sit back and enjoy.

Neither, both were fraudulent in comparison to their predecessors.

San Andreas and Fallout 2 are the ones.

I dunno...

I have finished both games and I must say, I absolutely LOVED GTA4.

I was absolutely astounded at the level of detail in the game. Just listening to the radio was entertaining, watching some of the live comedy performances and playing against (or with) other people online. Having drag races on the airstrip online is incredibly fun.

Although it doesnt sport the best graphics, under the hood, it is an absolutely incredible game with so much detail I find it impossible to get bored with it.

I liked Fallout3, but it has nothing on GTA4. They are 2 completely different games though...

(Useless fact #457: GTA4 is the most expensive game ever made, costing around $100,000,000 to produce.)

It took over a year for GTA IV to really convince me, but when it did - well, it's the best game we've had all generation.
