8-bit Dubstep: Free Tehran Dub 320

Post by rudebox » Sun Jul 26, 2009 12:14 am

http://soundcloud.com/rudebox/yonx-free-tehran-dub

perhaps the first dubsteptune made on amiga (?)

released under my second alias "yonx" which i use for lo-fi
amigastuff :) the tune is made completely on an amiga 1200
(4 channels, 8bit/22khz), recorded "as is" without any eq/effects/whatever..
had to kill the arrangement a bit in order not to get disqualified (timelimit)
at the retrocomputer competition where it was competing ( http://www.lcp.c64.org )
and ended up 3rd place..

some more polished stuff will show up soon, both amigastuff and "real" tunes ;)

in the meantime checkout other urban music/visuals made on amiga at our website
http://www.uprough.net

peace!

This is pretty good man.. love the amen snippets...

Maybe you could re-do this on pC/Mac and clean it up for proper release?

@ACTRAISER: remaking this using my normal setup would be quite difficult since i use no midi at all.. most of the tune is amiga realtime synthesis (the tune is 289kb in it's original format, samples included) which would be quite a mess to try and recreate in a vst.. my proper stuff is on another level than this as well so i prefer to keep the amigastuff on amiga :) glad you liked it though!
