Stuff you can listen to the whole day...while you carry on your mundane life.
I really don't like detroit techno

One of my all time favourite acts.

"One Perfect Sunrise" is an absolutely stunning tune. The version they played at their last ever (ahem) gig at John Peel's in 2004 is pretty much a tearjerker. You can even hear one person in the crowd say "I'm going to cry now" when the song starts.

Here is a link to that set.

Sorry, I'm a bit tipsy and emotional.

(And yeah, fuck The Orb, and fuck Underworld, never came even close to Orbital)

Kittens is a tune but they'll never be as good as Orbital. Orbital are out in a field of their own and have been for nearly twenty years whilst everyone tried to sound like them 8)

Fuck RIGHT off. Seriously. Get out!

Orbital are great, but they shouldn't get the ridiculous amount of ballcupping they get from everyone.... they're a great festival act and I'm glad I saw them a few times at Glastonbury, but I wouldn't make the effort to see them these days.

The Orb though, The Orb fucking blew my mind on a regular basis when I was a teenager because my older brothers used to pass me down these weird as fuck records. AMAZING band. UFOrb is awesome.

Sorry, but I've just always thought that The Orb are massively overrated. I remember buying UFOrb years ago and listened to it numerous times but just couldn't see what the fuzz was about.

Meh.

massively Overrated :o
Ultraworld and UForb were mindmeltingly influential to 90s electronic music
...and don't get me started on Orbvs Terravm

...but its pointless arguing about taste
...and pointless comparing the Orb to Orbital when it comes to stating figureheads of 90s dance music - they are very different imo

Search some torrent sites for "Orbital - Live At Glastonbury" and if you really like it buy it, well worth it imo 8)

Get a couple of CDs and a DVD with it, it was about a tenner at one point.
