What is Dubstep?

Post by adm-pro » Thu Jul 30, 2009 9:37 pm

Ok, don't kill me.

I heard one or two Dubstep tunes on Rinse, don't even know what they're called.

I already produce Grime music and i'd love to do Dubstep too!

Any chance in linking me to any of the "big" dubstep tunes so I can study a bit and any tips and stuff for making dubstep.

ADM

P.S I'm using FL Studio 8

Just do whatever you do normally with grime but make sure theres a maahoossive sub, or something like that.

dont go studying shit, that would be a shit outcome, surely?

Set tempo to 140bpm. Stick the snare on the 3rd beat of each bar, give it loads of reverb and delay. Then get hold of NI Massive and wap open the 'brutal electro' patch.
