in the arrange window, create a new channel (alt+cmd+n)

select 'software instrument'

on the new channel, click on the button above 'output 1-2'

a menu of plugins will open. select the ES2

My pal has logic so I tried to jump on his PC and have a go at making a bassline. I only had about 10 mins alone to try and get started with logic but I managed to find this ES2 synth!

I found the layout a little confusing and could not work out the bottom half of it! The colours on it made it even harder becuase I am colour blind and could not see the text very well :D

I am guessing the filter-lfo settings are done in the bottom half of the screen tho.

don't know if you'll find this vid handy. I did when i was first looking at making wobbles. Just gives you the basics on how to make 'em then you can go from there.

ES2 is hardcore once you get the hang of it. Good for pads, basses, stabs, whatever. The ES1 isn't bad either. But, yeah it's built in to logic. Not sure how you could miss it.

Yeah I checked that video out. I couldn't get any sound from it for some reason but by being able to see what he's doing really helped alot.

Cheers for that m8.

Is there anything on here about atomating wobbles on logic?

Far left is just some stuff like glide etc, next three knobs are tuning for the three osc, next three knobs are to select the waves, the little triangle is to control the mix between the waves. The big circle in the centre is the filter, left three knobs and buttons are filter 1, right is filter 2, blend up at the top. The little button that says series switches the filters between series and parallel. Right hand side is the amp + effects. The blue bar in the middle is the router, so you can route oscs to the lfo etc using this. If you click the vector button it brings up another screen where you can setup automation for the oscs etc. Bottom section is the LFOs and envelopes which you use once you've routed stuff to them in the router. Its not that hard once you get your head around it, its just a bit of an intimidating design.

The only bit of the ES2 I don't get is the vector?

Nice one. Sure that will help clear up a few things for people!

The fonts/colours they used made it so hard to see!"

took me ages to work out that there are loads of other wave forms than those displayed on the knobs.
