Yeah right..... and look at the guy, he is adjusting the knobs whilst it is unplugged!! Are we supposed to believe he didnt notice?
exactly, if he's doing that for anything more than 45 secs then that's ridiculous. even 45 seconds is too long, as far as I'm concerned.
but its not a 45 second vid, its a still frame so we will never know for sure.
I suppose we will never know. Only the one person who took the pic knows...but since that person is a fan, I would assume they didn't go to the show for the sole purpose of trying to discredit them, like "Shit, the cable came unplugged, this is my one sec to try and make these people seem like phonies *LIGHTSPEED SNAPPING OF CAMERA*". chances are that they noticed it happening for a time and then took a picture. Maybe soembody else beside them noticed, pointed it out, and then this person took a pic. All that is several seconds.

IN ANY CASE, I could care less, I'm not a fan of their music so it doesn't matter to me what they do or don't do live. But still, kinda funny if it's true.

I watched Across the Universe. That was fuckin great

EDIT: or to their benefit, maybe it was a completely random pic where Gaspard and whatever the other guys name is are the focus, not the set up....and coincidentally at that precise moment the cable came unplugged. maybe just some groupie snapping photos.

^^^^^^nice pic!

usb connections are shit for music gear, they definitely need some sort of locking mechanism on it so you dont have to reboot the program if you accidentally bump the controller and it falls out

Gonna have to agree with the dervish on this one USB does chew the fat one for music equipment...... A locking device would be cool.

You should design one dude! Slogan:

"Dont want people casting doubt over the authenticity of your live performances? You need the DERVOLOCK!! Available in an range of colours... as long as its white."

Fuck it Ill pre order ten of those bad boys right now :)

Peace

Lots of stuff is "faked" or acted, some of it is understandable though. Like Liam Howlett would have a DAT playing most of the song, and he would be tweaking the main melody patches or what have you live. Their live setups were so insane, I remember seeing like towers of equipment surrounding Liam in the back of the stage. I dunno what they use now but I suspect it's toned down a lot. This pic is nothing compared to one live show I saw during the FOTL tour, but I can't find pics online. I wonder if anyone ever used fake paper gear, like the kind they make appliances out of to put on tables in furniture shops.

Some people blatantly fake though, I remember seeing some trance DVD where some guys were jamming on synth on stage, except they weren't plugged in and no lights were on lol. Also seen it in hardcore, people putting on elaborate live acts, but faking the music. When they get lazy and it gets obvious, it's pretty sad imo. Check out the site www.deadact.com for some laughs.

Shit sorry for going more off topic

he actually looks better with it. :)

the locking usb idea reminds me of how I knew some people who were fans of swapping midi cables for xlr's (2 of the pins don't do anything in a 5 pin midi cable and xlr's lock) because those tend to slip out as well.

These are great!!! That Aquatica knob jockey is OFFICIALLY the worlds biggest bell end. I love the way he keeps walking over to the synth and almost touching it before deciding not to and carrying on dancing like a prick.

Krome angel with a whole bank of laptops with the screens off is just embarrassing to watch "ITS HAMMERTIME" hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Word. The cable is right next to the input so i'm guessing it just got knocked out and he didn't notice for a second.

"The backbone of their setup consists in three synchronised Lemurs plugged into Ableton Live"

No matter what they do live, their music is wicked sick. Their A Cross the Universe tour documentary was entertaining as well
