im shure if you dig around in all the usual locations you'll be able to find some patches / banks

some times if you check wiki they have a few banks n patches for some major synth that arnt too shoddy

Whats KRK and whats the usual locations?

As for using presets, i mess around and tweak them anyway... everyone is entitled to their own way of making music.

completely agree. there are many producers here who can tweak synths all day but don't have a notion about music theory.

No, sorry, wrong. I downloaded a crack of your ability to make music your way. You have to make music my way. Use one synth.
You're very helpful. Just trying to learn.

i put Krk didnt i? i meant Kvr
http://www.kvraudio.com/banks.php

there you go, and as for the 'pick one synth learn it' approach thats a load of bullshit, do whatever you want, and teh way i learnt more about synthesis was deconstructing other peoles patches to see how they were made.

Fuck presets and soundbanks. Those are the first things i delete

Start to actually MAKE music instead of over-over-over-using the same sounds every "producer" uses..

(ofcourse, violins. piano's, giutars etc are hard to make with a synth so use them.. But please put some effort in all the synth sounds!)

man presets are invaluable
saves time constructing the same sound you want and a great learning tune
as far as making real instrument synthesis hit your local library and hunt down an old synthesis book from the late 70s/early 80s with a big section by bob moog on how to deconstruct and recreate any sound in a synth
if i could remember title i'd list it
but i also agree with the learn one instead of little of many philosphy
how you come up with your workhorses
