Something like that, I'd find it very difficult to not completely snap and smash their head with a bottle. But then I'd remember "I'm infront of many, many people...not the best idea"
As I said he was VERY big and intimidating - Im a coward at heart!
lol I'm sure he was...I'm just talking generally about reacting vs. not reacting in that situation, and how it would be perceived by ppl watching (audience, club owners, etc etc); not whether you have the heart of a lion or the other character in Alice in Wonderland.

you could always "out-dick" the people who bother you or touch the equipment, stop the music momentarily and in a not-so-nice way draw everyone's attention to them so they are so embarrassed they have to leave :)

once, i was playing a paid gig, spinning hip hop and house (not my choice but i was doing it strictly for the $)...this drunk ghetto prick kept telling me to play a song that I didn't have. I kept telling this douche that i would play it if i had it but that i literally did not have the song to play...he kept it up the whole night, getting more and more heated every time he came up to me....to the point that he seemed like he wanted to fight. nothing ended up happening but its really amazing at how dense some people are...fukkin unbelievable :x

I find it hard to believe anyone could touch the deck without you noticing so I put it down to you doing it by mistake fella :D
Don’t worry about people stealing an idea. If it’s original, you will have to ram it down their throats.

Yeah there was seating to the left of the dj booth (quite a small booth) so anyone could have easily lent in while I was bending down to pick the next song out of my bag. Again could have been me but I have my doubts.

That sucks about having beer poured over the decks, things like switches flicked and pissing about is one thing but wrecking someones property is out of order.

haha...get used to it if you dj a lot. it's worse when someone asks you to play purple rain by prince at a dnb monthly.

yeah after that and a couple similar incidents I decided not to play a non-dnb/electronic party ever again...and haven't. i knew that was the right decision for me because shortly after this a buddy of mine wanted me to play a keg party with him...ha....well i didn't bring any of my gear or tunes and opted to only jump on when he needed to go for a piss or whatever....later that night a drunk chick spilled a beer all over his Pioneer mixer and fried it! Someone also stole his $300 Gucci glasses, but thats another matter

bring a plexiglass shield with you to put in front of the decks to avoid this issue
