He was probably laughing at it all in general, saying you need dj's with a link to apply, then reading all the bollocks like

You should keep upto date with the station, be active on the forums and chatroom

If you want me to dj on your station, you're gonna make me pay you.... and then, I have to be active on the forums and chatroom? lol

I could understand if you were a well established radio, but then again if that was the case, you wouldn't need to look for dj's, they'd come to you...

LOL I just read the bit above...
1.At least 2 vinyl or 2 CD decks and a mixer
2.A PC or Mac with the ability to install the broadcast software
3.Audio cables connecting your amp/mixer to your PC/Mac sound card (Line Input)
4.A fast Broadband/ADSL Internet connection (you will need a stable upload speed of more than 160kbps)
5.Enough vinyl / CD's for a weekly 1 or 2 hour set (longer sets are available)
6.A microphone so you can host your show

A lot of places have donation's

I'm assuming you'd have to put quite a bit of money in to start off, get the dj's, then gradually grab the listeners, before you would start to see donations.

like i say, bring on the haters lol, i would like to see you do better jobs

thats it lowpass, its a long process but we've been going well since we launched in 2006, just trying to get some more dubstep heads on board as we are kinda swamped with dnb at the moment lol.
It is also expensive as you say. we also use a better chatroom than any internet radio ive ever seen but we have to pay monthly for it. We are listed on itunes and Nokia's internet radio app, so we need to have high capacity servers which seem to have gone up in cost since the recession!

anyway, if anybody is interested in playing for us let me know if not fair enough 8)

I am doing a better job... i have more listeners than ALL of the other dubstep internet radio stations combined. i dont charge my DJs. i dont charge listeners to tune in. we run on donations. provide a badass service and people will support you.

nice one mate, i wasnt aiming that at yourself, it was aimed at the people that have said its not the way to run a station bla bla blah. i dont know why people are getting so passionate on here lol, its all fun and games really.

yeah, u rely on donations which is the ideal thing to do but we dont get enough to cover the bills. no-one has ever complained about subs - infact most djs pay £10 a month to go towards club nights and specials. most pirate radio stations charge between £10 - 30 per show so we dont think £5 per month is unreasonable.

anyway, big ups and keep doin what ur doin :D
