SUB BASS LEVELS MONITOR pleeeeeeeeeseee help

im livin back with my family now so dont have monitors buti use high quality headphones.... and i can master a whole lot of stuff but sub bass is always the killer for me.. because i dont know if my sub is loud enuff or too high.. is there any programme on the planet that can tell u how high ur sub is... like........ play a loefah tune and u can se what levels or decibels its hitting.. then higher my sub in reason so i know when i play it on a phat sound system its gunna TUMP.... i know this is such a shit question but if anyone could let me know i would be soooooo greatfull

isn't this what a freq-analyzer does? there's freeware ones.. Bluecat comes to mind

yeah you'd have to bounce it to a simple app, maybe ACID with VST support with the above mentioned plugin

drop your track and mr fa's track in and compare them

i cud stick it onto a cd or an ipod and put it onto a soundsystem but all that is long.. is theree nuffink within reason? that i can do?

yeah search for futures untold reason presets on this forum

he's got the closest you can come to spectral analysis setup on a handy downloadable file

question him about it he's a don with reason and really friendly n helpfull.

You can use the vocoder as a basic frequency analyser in Reason. Put the mixer/synth/whatever output into the modulation input of the vocoder.

yeah ive known for time how too make a frequeny analyzer out of 2 vocoders wired into ya mixer but.. i cant play mp3s like lofahs tunes into reason so its still like........ ayyyyyyyyyy do i turn this bass up or what??? if im makin a tune on this frequency analyser am i just singlin out the sub bass so i can see its the same level as the mids and highs then???? if i solo the sub and its hittin the same levels as the drums and synths etc. is that good enufff??????

This might be what you're talking about already, other posters have mentioned it but try make a combinator on a send from your mixer first into a stereo imager, then maximiser and then the mod into a vocoder.

This doesn't give you a comparison with other prod's tracks but this would be a very good place to start. You'll be able to see how high your track is hitting and roughly in what freq.'s. Compare where your track is hitting with just the lo/high bands using the imager.
