BBC Radio 4 ...

Post by tripaddict » Sun Aug 16, 2009 3:06 pm

Played dubstep last night ????? wtf ?

in between some news report and some classical music

i know dubstep is popular but I thought it'd be about another 20 years before they played any on radio 4

i can just imagine Terry Wogan .... 'and now for a new mix from reso' lol

maybe not just yet

Terry Wogan is on Radio 2. Radio 4 is the best radio station there is. Legal or illegal.

Someone should do a dubstep remix of the Archers theme tune. It'd fit in well in this day and age of shit pop tunes having a dubstep beat put over the top (oops, I meant a "dubstep remix" )

Ha ha, never thought I'd see someone posting about Radio 4 on here. My life is a daily competition between Rinse and Radio 4 for my ears.

I absolutely can't stand 'Women's Hour' though.

im not trying to be argumentative or smart arsed about something so benign, but TripAddict are you sure you weren't tuned into "BBC World Service" instead of radio4?

asking because i think i was listening to world service at around 10pm (british summer time) yesterday, and i heard the presenter mention they were going to do a feature on dubstep, although i didn't actually catch the segment

i wanna hear this feature... ive had a look around the bbc website, unfortunately you can't "listen again" to the arts show that was on bbc world service at that time... and on radio4 at the same time there was a show on that had nothing to do with music/art

maybe im just looking at the wrong time/station on the schedules

Yeah true, and the fucking plays they always have. I think I've been listening to it too long though as I don't mind the archers anymore :o

Fairly sure World Service don't broadcast on FM

I get Radio 4 on about 92.
