recording into fruity loops
does anyone know how to record through fruity. i can get an input signal to show up but as soon as i turn the volume up to get a better signal , it sounds like something is flanging/phasing or i have a loop setup that i cant get rid of!!
im using a delta44 soundcard and the output is going to my mixing desk then im coming out of the tape out and back into my soundcard input
any ideas?

They made it a lot easier, just click the 1 Click Recording button near the mixer/playlist buttons up top (or hit the record button next to the play/stop), and options will pop up with a bunch of different recording options (audio, midi, both, etc). Then when you select "audio", the mixer will pop up and you select your input, and hit play to start recording. You can also select your input, then hit the record button on the actual mixer channels near the bottom, and do it that way.
It's not as good and theres not the same amount of options like in something like Cubase, for example to ability to quantize as you record.. but it's ok for recording outboard gear or microphones into audio.

Cubase gets my vote, but Edison is good for what it is. It's got some pretty nice functions actually.. I just can't chop and edit as quickly like I can in Cubase or Sound Forge for that matter.Deadly Habit wrote:yea i heard edison was good in fl just so used to cubase for editing audio fl became like a toy last time i set up for a bud
Try going to all the other mixer channels and make sure the input up top is set to none. Only the channel you are recording to should have an input. Besides that I dunno, could possibly be an issue with your sound card's routing.. are you using ASIO4ALL? Might want to give that a try as well.. www.asio4all.comina wrote:i know how to get the signal in , but when i hit record it sounds as if it has a phasing issue (i think) and cant rid of it
nice1 for getting back to me

I use FL but my knowledge of it is limited as i'm fairly new to it, but you don't suppose you got some effects on there by mistake?? I can't see how you would get that noise whilst recording, you may likely get some form of interferance and that can be down to quality of wires and volumes and sound card etc etc
just have a look through and where possible keep the volume as low as possible whilst recording it cuts out a lot of the noise, you canh adjust volumes after recording is done.
