Bill Laswell's dub albums are always a winner.

Also it doesn't come any more blissful than Rhythm & Sound.

^agreed on Namlook and Experimental Audio Research.

EAR has maybe had the best collaborators in the history of music! I mean Bowery Electric, Kevin Shields, Delia Derbyshire and Thomas Köner. It's just a big dirty list of awesome musicians.

Brought an aphex twin album today. Sounds like a less trippy version of boards of canada. Still prefer boards though, dunno how I forgot to mention them in the OP.
But yeahh still to check out some of the other artists mentioned, but I will buy any albums I recognise from this thread if I see them in a cd shop.

Mike Sheridan is has made a lot of great ambient-dub - and some good dub-techno as well. The guy is only 17 (or 18) years old and released his first tracks at the age of 15.

I find Lustmord's solo albums pretty boring for the most part. That being said I loved the album he did with Melvins and I'd absolutely love to hear him do an album with Sly & Robbie! That would be deadly.

Interesting you should recommend him, he lives here in town though it's been a while since I've seen him.

I can't totally disagree. At the same time, ambient isn't supposed to be entertaining: it's mae to create an atmosphere.
