someone educate me about DMZ

i would love some limited represses to be honest. didnt bother getting half the original 12s when they came out, only have them on mp3 (broke-ness etc lol).

yeah. definitely one of the better posts on here.

tbh, DMZ have been my favorite since day one and still are my favorite.

Seckle's post is spot on as well. I suggest you watch most of the videos if you can. it'll cover anything you want to know.

whats everyones feelings on the original post's question about whether there will be any more DMZ releases?
Its been what, 18 months since Spongebob was released (although i guess there was like an 8 month hiatus between lean fwd and spongebob so maybe thats irrelevant). Mala and Coki (and Loefah i guess altho i havent really heard any new loe tunes in ages - anyone point me in the direction) are producing such different stuff now (as has always kind of been the case) that it would be really interesting to think what they might release if there was another DMZ. Obviously so much clamoured for back catalogue.I suppose Deep Medi is much more about new releases so maybe theres still some scope to use DMZ to release some old gems.
My gut feeling is that there probably wont ever be another one and in a way this would be great as it preserves it as this perfect institiution that never went wrong.
bit of a ramble there but what does everyone think?

shit just remembered they released triple six last december - kind of makes my whole post above irrelevant.
My vote is for a loefah plate to be next - would be such an amazing way to come back (for both the label and producer). Mud was released in July 2006 (fuck - it doesnt feel like its been three years since then!)

Also me neither heard new Loefah material, but I never saw him play somewhere (so maybe he plays new material but doesn't hand it out for radio play) + he's getting a release on sin city in a few weeks/months.
