I get confused by people who go on about Half Step dominating the scene because it really doesn't anymore, I think people are confusing tunes with wobble as being half step or something? Out to anyone who does remember when half step was the new exciting sound a few years back

every single wobble tune i've heard for the last 2 years has a halfstep beat, there's no way you could say it isn't dominating the scene.

like all genres of music dubstep has and will continue to evolve. Dubstep itself is inspired by many different sounds and over the past few years different sounds have developed out of it, some good some bad, but it's down to opinion as after all music as a whole should be about what you like to hear not others. Dubstep may change appearance but will always have a future, just got to stay true to the real beats and real nights, and support experimentation with the sound which is not purely for a more commercial money offering audience.

I don't think it was because claw said it. I think it was because everyone is so sick of these boring posts. There is about 5 a week on here these days, and it is the same answer every time. Its people like you fretting that its all shit is the only thing really making any negative effects.

I'm all for discussion but this has been discussed to death, so to come on to a dubstep forum about how dubstep is dead/dying/reached its high point is ridiculous.

There will always be heaters in dubstep / future dubgarage / dubwobblebassfunkystep etc. A lot of known and unknown taste makers are putting out greatness, and inspiration always follows. Its' on a good roll, I am always looking forward to the next drop.

The thing is you've got people spread across three generations listening to, and making this music we all call "dubstep". The older heads have a different perspective on things and generally speaking their tastes will reflect that, and the more aggressive and lively stuff will appeal to the younger crowd because that's what they want to hear (don't you remember being a teenager?).

The fact that this scene still has it's integrity but contains so much diversity should be something that is celebrated. Peoples tastes change quicker than values, and it's what remains that's important.
