stickys for Q&A threads

Post by 86. » Mon Aug 24, 2009 4:14 pm

I'm not requesting this out of complete lazyness. But those are threads that I'd think deserve stickying.

Cuz you'll usually see a question like "do so and so in _________" .

lol...people must have asked this question already huh?

Got yr PM-- thx for sending.

I for one am not into the idea of having 20-odd stickies on the forum. Even as it is i'd like to have less, but the ones up there all keep getting a good amount of traffic so it makes sense to keep 'em.

basically it's up to you guys. if we can get a big # of folks, especially regulars, then great, i'll sticky them up. If not, then it's not necesarrily a bad idea, just the wrong time for it.

I mean, I like the idea of more stickies so that I don't have to look for a topic made 4 years ago, but then going through a 12 page topic isn't pleasant either.

Sorry, I would prefer not to sticky them - I am not a fan of a ton of stickies plus I think revisiting certain DAWs and techniques in them is a good idea.

i vote no...

the noobs just ignore stickies anyway

and they probably wont read the first 10 pages of the thread either.it would just be a waste of space on the screen

The production bible contains some very decent links to some of the best threads on DSF.

If the subject would fit into the production bible, contact Daft tnuc and he will often add the link to the bible if the quality of the thread is proven.

They are all already contained in the 'tools' section of the Production Bible.

Maybe you can edit that post to make it clearer?

Fuckers. for once the top of the forum was clear and nice, those stickyies clutter it up.
I'd have maybe 3 stickies...
Rules
Sub volume
Bible
Maybe the feedback thread(but a single one) too
