Is There Gonna Be A Breezeblock Dubstep Wars Anniversary Mix

Post by rasdisone » Tue Nov 21, 2006 2:48 pm

i personally got my first taste of dubstep a year ago from that mix, and im sure lots of other people became converts after hearing that massive mix...i saw it plastered all over the net for months after, and getting crazy reviews from everyone

i think its only fitting that an anniversary show be done, im sure it will push the dubstep sound even further into other scenes and genres

as an aside, holy crap it took a long time for lots of those songs on the breezeblock mix to come out, i was even grabbing them this last month as they got released

Would love this too!

The Breezeblock dubwars mix converted me also, and jus like you im still buying the tunes i loved from that mix only resently!! ..... i didnt even own a pair of decks before that mix! IT WAS SUCH A MASSIVE MIX!!

As Mary Anne said 'if your lookin for music that'll change your life....its right here, breezeblock dubwars'

Gettin into Dubstep, through that mix, inspired me to buy turntables & learn how to mix, a year on im pretty nifty on the ol' 1s&2s, if i do say so myself and mad vinyl junkie

Anniversary mix would be not only VERY BIG, but also well special!

Yeah good idea, even if it is just a mix of some of the tracks that have been big on dubplate since then/tracks by new producers that have come through...

i say all new tunes that would set the standard for the next year
tunes you wouldnt even know the name of until april
tunes that would make you keep playing the mix over and over until your friends and neighbours are sick of you

That sounds good. In fact, any kind of anniversary thing sounds good.

It should happen.

must have bristol representing!

pinch and a representative from the h.e.n.c.h. crew is absolutely essential.

and a burial coming out session would be absolutely brutal!

not sure the magic could be repeated to be honest. a year on surely we're in a different place and it's about going on differently.
