The drop is far too sparse, needs more elements. Personally take out the first few bars after the drop and go straight to the second bit with just sub because you also bring in more elements and it starts sounding quite nice.

And that nasty bass sound doesn't sound good.

New sketch, more 135 2step business. Sampling Noel Ellis. Tell me what you guys fink!
I had enough of the dodgy off key 2 step with darkside vocals in the background. Otherwise the track is ok but way too much shuffle, gap between kick and snare is barely there.

It's not bad but probably suits a more breaky type dubstep, lots of high hats, with the flowing bass underneath to compliment it.

I'm quite proud of this so far, just need need your thoughts........
Absolutely love that synth, already jealous after the first 5 seconds.

But, that snare has got no impact at all, half the time you don't even hear the attack of it. Definitely do something about that, put a little crisp woody one ontop or something, just blend a bit in and give it some crisp punch. It sounds ok when you put the kick underneath but on the second snare without the kick it just sounds far too weak.

Is the sax audio quality a bit shit or is that an effect? It sounds a bit raw/distorted and it's a bit loud. I would try and mellow that out a bit, either just eq off the top end a bit or try and blend in a bit more reverb and just round the sound off, so it's a bit softer.

This track has got tons of potential though, love the vibes. Really builds quite well. Look forward to hearing the finished product hit me up when it happens.

I'm aware there's parts that just don't work, but what about the general vibe? Scrap it or what?
Don't like it at all, sound quality is off, heavily distorted. Not worth the upload.

(dont mean to be harsh, just giving straight opinions bro)

Yeah really feeling this one, love the melodies. Second drop feels like a different tune though, not even a progression.

Would rework that and somehow build on the first set, or mix them up bit because it's like two tunes right now.

Yeah agreed with that struggling on progression lately as DJs moan at me cause they wanna play tunes and I dont' give them enough time to mix, its a difficult learning curve ! thanks for the feedback though, what track you looking for feedback on?

When the bass comes in it absolutely washes out the whole track and you are losing all the high end frequencies. Probably got some mad compression on it doing that. Reign the bass in and watch that compression because it's fucking the track.

In general as well feels like the track needs a bit definition on the high end, i can't hear any high-hats, feels like the track is missing them a bit inbetween the percussion.

Otherwise I quite like the idea of the track, it's got a nice kinda off/key positive feeling to it.
Yeah i wasn't sure about the bass i thought a bit loud, i'll have have a tinker. There isn't actually any hats, its just ride and bongos/congas, but that was the sound i was going for in this track.

Thanks for all the feedback every one

Wow, I really like Who Knows, the melody is great and the bass sounds immense! I like the choice of drum samples to, it progresses nicely, the percussion is great!

I can't really say much different with Sqeeze Remix either - both absolutely sick tunes!

Squeeze Remix:

I haven't heard the original so these comments might be pretty stupid but here goes... I like the synth line, but i think maybe something a little softer, or a low pass filter on it. When the bass comes in its great, really fits with the rest of the track. i think the hihats are to loud, a bit in your face.

Who Knows:
Really like the intro, nothing bad to say about it. I think the bass could be fatter and thicker, maybe add some octaves or sub bass to it. And maybe change its speed every now an then, just mix it up else it gets too boring. I like the really like the snare, and the end percussion section.

personally i didnt like train ride much there is too much going on and its kinda muddled. I like the 2nd track alot more but mostly after the 3 min mark. idk if ur going for the video game sound or not but check out basic 64 and itchy subsonic. idk what you used for ur bass but i think u should just work with what ur doing.

im working on a new song its the last one in my player let me know what u dont like

Cheers for the comments, yeah the track does sound like theres to much going on, i think im gonna stick with the simplified style of the second. Im into moderats new album at the moment, starkey, i listen to people like squarepusher and prefuse 74 flying lotus etc.

For my bass ive just used this juno 106 kontakt instrument i found on the internet (saw wave) and played another saw wave from a different program over the top of it with the tune slightly increased.

Really loving that noise at 1.23 but i think it needs to go into the arpegi at 138 a little bit smoother, maybe a low pass filter on it gradually releasing for a few bars. Some other things stand out but i will have to listen to it 2morrow when i have my monitors on as its 3.30am and im in bed! untill then.
