Contra 4 on the ds is fucking ridiculously hard. so's Bangai-O Spirits but I think that's just because I'm dire at it

Even with the invincibility cheat on it just punishes you! Almost retired my DS a few times that one did

I stopped playing games because they got too easy.


We (Game developers) started making games automatically adjust to the player's skill so that that lesser skilled players get 'value for money', which really pisses me off. Nanny state games. I think a game should be a solid challenge and if people can't manage to pull themselves together to finish it, fuck 'em.

I'd love to see some of the xbox age kids try and get through something like Jetset Willy without crying.

What next? Movies that adjust the plot to the intelligence level of the viewer? Mulholland drive slowly turns into a car chase movie if sensors placed on the viewer's head tells the computer that they're confused.

CONTRA & SUPER CONTRA on NES.... now if u knew the code to get the 10 or 12 extra lives, not too bad... the game could be beat.... BUT... w/o the extra lives cheat.... omg you were so fucked... shit even w/ the extra lives it was TOUGH!
