Life is about balance. Relationships need work as well, just like working on making the best tune you can. If you want the relationship to work, you got to spend some time with your mate. If not, then maybe you should consider the alternative. It won't hurt you if you are away from your machine every now and then.

Almost everyone one of them.

It works out well because it can become a way to get to know each other better. Unless of course either person is some sort of genre-snob / scene-addict then it just ugly.

tell her to shut up and suck it. then record the sound and add some distortion and delay and use it in your tunes and she will feel twice as useful

But yeah where I'm living isn't so diverse with music, so I'll play a tune by say, A Forest Mighty Black, and then hear something like "oh this is techno right?"

Some people, everything that isn't hip-hop = techno. weird shit I tells ya

If I had a dollar for every time I've heard that...

Or better yet, the people who assume that every single song made on a computer is a BOOM TSS BOOM TSS BOOM TSS BOOM TSS dance song

Dump em. I just did of 3 years.

I did not dump her cos of music but I will never go out with someone who tells me my music is shit and to give up cos it will never happen, standard.
Don’t worry about people stealing an idea. If it’s original, you will have to ram it down their throats.

sex her till she passes out and then make tunes all night

if it's during the day give her some cheese and send her shopping

if you can't do either then you should be figuring out some "life shit" instead of making tunes
