Fail, as I can..
Thats like saying if you learn to play the bass guitar than naturally you'll know how to make any bassline.

You'll need to have the drums and the bassline layed down first of course, but other than that i'd say there's some easy steps.

1. listen to a lot of p-funk and g-funk
2. make a crisp-sounding synth/arp
3. lay down a melody in the same scale as your bassline, toy around with syncopation and rhythm
4. play with different effects, envelopes and automation.

yeah, really? its more being a prick to come up with something original on yr own than to copy other ppls shit? i see...

ffs ppl, joker already exists, burial exists, skream exists. whats wrong with u? work some shit out on yr own. invent. contribute.

sorry mate people don't like to be called sheep.. tbh I didn't feel like u were even addressing me with that, but it goes without saying

we all chill here, we're all at different stages of soaking up knowledge

I realize your preferred method is too be blunt, and I wasn't attacking you persay but that is prickish, it takes the piss out of someone else's curiousity - that said, everyone has a role, perhaps yours is to be that forthcoming guy kicking everyone in the pants

name calling is lame. (tho I did call u a prick so there u have it) :D

and yeah the funk dungeon video is pretty ill

ez

your posts in this thread are the least sheepish of all, so i'm not sure why u felt it necessary to respond to my comment tbh

yo, im curious about shit too, but i tend to avoid being too curious about what ppl in the same musical genre r doing cos that just leads to doign something similar. and i also try work stuff out on my own. yes, partly cos i'm proud/arrogant, but partly cos i learn shit that way.

just seems liek every fool on here wants 2b a copy of sum 1 else, and not even put in the relatively small amount of work required 2 do that properly

i dont doubt there are talented original producers lurking somwhere on dsf...but they r lurking, and producing, not posting stupid fucking "which button do i press" questions and gushing fanboy threads

joker's good cos he's original (and he ripped off some old ppl who dont make dubstep), if you* wanna b good forget joker and the rest and go do something else on yr own

*thats "you" plural, general, not "you" jolly wailer btw
