you should've clarified what type of tunes you meant in the OG post, dude.
I didn't know you were talking about the guys that make tunes with 0.1% production value and call themselves 'producers'

but that can be with any style and any genre of music, if it has no production value its gonna be garbage. obviously
still... I don't disregard my 'listen to what you like' statement.

It'll just get ridiculous e.g. asking a house DJ what he plays " We'll I'll start off with a bit of funky house then a bit of electro house mix in a bit of fidget house then to some more techy house then a bit of prog. house might finish with some acid house..." I dont want to be saying that about different sorts of dubstep when people ask me what I Play/Listen to, just keep it dubstep, all these sounds evolve from one place anyways.
..::Just When I Think I Know Wot Im Thinking::..
Tbh people only whine because the word 'dubstep' covers essentially different scenes. What yong is going on about seems to be just accepting that and dealing with it, so you don't have to keep explaining that a given night / DJ / label / whatever is dubstep but not like Caspa and Rusko, more like weird mashed up bassy garagey stuff... if we could deal with that then all the whingeing threads would just go:mattron wrote:do you mean, dubstep isn't what you'd like it to be?yong wrote:I'd agree with you,
but dubstep isn't really dubstep anymore.
I hate these fucking whining threads.
no body is forcing you to listen to certain sounds... listen to what you like!
"Does anyone else thing Nob Wobbla is killing dubstep?"
"Nob Wobbla isn't dubstep."
"Oh, alright, as you were then..."
Dubstep feels increasingly like a couple that are staying together 'for the sake of the kids' despite the fact that they're constantly on the verge of stabbing each other, imo...
