true, all other mc's all ok. crazy d just does not shut the fuck up.

that is a perfect example.

bruv its a radio show.
yea im aware of it being a radio show. but you listen to the radio to listen to tunes. not some guy speaking in riddles.
isnt it the case that they have to chat over some tunes, particularly all the dubs hatcha serves up, cos the respective labels dont want them playing without anything over it, presumably so it doesnt get ripped or something? just a thought
plus, hes jus a bit of a laugh int he?

flowdan isn't that good as far as being a grime mc goes, he's never done a mixtape, album or ep and has had the same lyrics since 1999.

he's good with the bug though.

maybe MCs are like that girlfriend you had that seemed real shitty sometimes but you then missed real bad when you broke up with her.

While were talking about MC's
JUAKALI is one of the better MC's I've heard over dubstep..
Pokes is quite good as well.
Usually not a fan of MC's either..
If I wanted to listen to some dumbass talk over BASS music i would listen to hip hop...

Personally Im not a fan of MCs (apart from Pokes as I have him to thank for introducing me to Dubstep) but I really cant comment on Flo Dan as I dont think ive actually ever heard him. Honestly. Maybe I have as Ive been to lots of raves with MCs but as someone pointed out its all about selective listening isnt it.

My opinion regarding Crazy D was based on the old Radio 1 Dubwars 2006 set in which he spent most of Hatchas mix going 'manamanamanamana summin summin, blah blah blah'...that I do not like. Im sure he has come a long way since but I choose to remain ignorant through preference.

Crazy D work's because he host's well & doesnt talk too much shit. If you heard him on Rinse in 2003/4, you would know why he works so well.

This can't be said for certain other dubstep 'hosts' who get tedious after one comment.

Flo Dan has the flow of a 7 yr old.

MCs are find at raves. The problem is when you're listening mix at home and the MC is too high in the mix.

Flow Dan is good though. In Bristol we have to deal with Dread.

Reminds me of arguments about Stevie Hyper D way back!

Never seen Flow Dan at a rave but I love his stuff with The Bug and Roll Deep. He's a pretty intense MC though - you don't want to hear him over every track.

I prefer the "host" breed of MC for dubstep eg. Sgt Pokes, Asbo etc. They don't get in the way of the music or take themselves very seriously.
